Scoutform for WordPress

Install the Scoutform AI chatbot on WordPress

Add Scoutform to a WordPress website with one site-wide footer script, then test the complete question-to-lead journey.

Where the code goes

Code Snippets > Header & Footer > Footer

WordPress.com only permits JavaScript on plans with the required custom-code or plugin access. Self-hosted WordPress sites can use an established header-and-footer code tool.

Your widget code

<script src="https://scoutform.store/api/widget/script?v=12" data-business-id="YOUR_BUSINESS_ID" async></script>

Replace YOUR_BUSINESS_ID with the ID shown in Dashboard > Widget. Keep the rest unchanged.

Installation steps

  1. 1

Copy the business-specific Scoutform script from Dashboard > Widget.

  2. 2

Open your existing header-and-footer code tool. If you do not have one, WordPress documents the WPCode Header & Footer route for supported sites.

  3. 3

Paste the complete script into the Footer field so it loads once across the website, then save the change.

  4. 4

Clear any WordPress or hosting cache and open the public site in a private window.

  5. 5

Ask a service question, trigger a quote or booking enquiry, and confirm the test lead reaches Scoutform.

Before launch

Test the enquiry, not just the bubble.

A successful installation ends with a stored test lead and a notification in the right inbox.
